Revisiting a January post... Being fluid is not a snap .. Pt. 2

Now that Autumn has arrived, I hope those that are spending time hunting afield have worked on their form at the close, blank bales to ingrain the Hill style swing draw into their subconscious via thousands of properly performed shots.

More importantly, that the level of concentration on the spot to hit has increased through practice, and that concentration work has given the archer the confidence to know that when the shot opportunity arrives, they believe that they can hit that spot, "right now, right here".  And then they do it.

That is the most ethical way to shoot an animal; the greatest piece of  archery gear is located between the ears...and it is accessed during the moment of truth by a finely-honed sense of hand and eye coordination and muscle memory, and the ability to allow it to happen again because it has been done before.

So perhaps it is time to refresh some memory of the post "Being fluid is not a Snap Pt. 2"... Because one of the greatest teaching tools is, "repetition, repetition, repetition"... And with that, enjoy the season, concentrate on your spot and

      Shoot Straight.

  1. Thanks again Nate! I'm just finishing up another 3 week stretch of strength training and working on the blank bale and will head outside again in a few days to dial in my aim before the hunting season begins.
I've been alternating between the blank bale and roving all year long and for once, thanks to your advise and all the practice, I finally feel like I'm ready for the season.
